Russia e-Visa FAQ

Check the rules for your passport and trip before ordering. Russia Visa Express is an independent private agency; visa decisions are made by the Russian authorities.

Do I need an e-visa?

First check whether a visa exemption applies to your nationality, purpose and length of stay. If you need a visa, check the official e-visa nationality list. Being listed does not mean an e-visa is required for every trip. For example, Saudi Arabia and Russia introduced a visit-visa exemption on 11 May 2026; its purposes and limits are described in the official announcement.

How long is the visa valid, and how long may I stay?

The unified e-visa is valid for 120 days from issue and allows one entry with a stay of up to 30 days. Arrival and departure count as days. Your departure must also fall within the visa's validity. Always check the dates on the issued visa. Official entry guidance.

When can I apply?

The official application window is 86 to 4 days before intended entry. Processing takes up to four calendar days; the submission day is not included in the processing period. A returned application restarts processing after correction and resubmission. Agency preparation time is separate, so leave time to supply complete information. Official conditions and processing FAQ.

What should I prepare?

Prepare a compliant passport, a clear image of its data page and a recent portrait that meets the official requirements. The official portal requests JPEG images and a machine-readable passport valid for at least six months from application. Provide complete and accurate travel information. An invitation or booking confirmation is not required for an e-visa. See the official document and photo instructions.

Does my child need a separate application?

Every child using the e-visa route needs an individual application and e-visa. Children under six are exempt from the official consular fee; this does not automatically waive a private agency's service charge. Official fee and child-application rules.

Do I need medical insurance?

The official conditions require insurance valid in Russia for the whole stay, except where a reciprocal exemption applies. Check your policy's actual territorial cover, dates and exclusions. See our insurance information and the official conditions.

Which border crossings may I use?

Both entry and exit must use approved e-visa checkpoints. Check the actual operating status of your route with your carrier as well.

What if my application needs a correction?

Follow the correction notice. The official conditions provide ten days to correct a returned application without an additional payment; processing restarts after resubmission. Details on an already issued e-visa cannot be changed, according to the official FAQ.

Where do I find prices and payment methods?

Review the current service and price before ordering. Checkout shows the available payment methods. The Russian official portal has its own payment and refund rules, separate from a private agency's contract. An agency cannot guarantee approval or border admission.
